We are informed by Winchester City Council (WCC) that more than 800 dwellings are now occupied in Kings Barton. According to the requirements of the planning permission for the development, both the 200-space Park and Ride and Winchester Avenue should have been completed, we are advised by Cala that this will be completed by the end of 2027 in line with the completion and opening of the Northern Junction of Winchester Avenue with Andover Road.
Following decision day, HCC granted the TRO for the future closure of Andover Road and opening of Winchester Avenue. KBRA are waiting on the latest schedule of works and will publish this for residents in due course. We can, of course, expect significant disruption while the roadworks are on-going.
